Chris Basilio grew up in Miami, FL., where he attended the baseball powerhouse Monsignor Pace High School, primarily a pitcher.
Chris was voted to the Preseason All American team prior to his senior season as the 36th RHP in the state of FL. Following his senior season , he earned a scholarship to Jackson State University.
Chris served as a pitcher during his time at Jackson State, where he was voted the Preseason Freshman of the Year (2014) in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) but was limited due to a shoulder injury. Chris transferred to Reindhart University where he transitioned back to playing outfield.
During his two years at Reindhart, Chris maintained a .263 batting average and hit 10 home runs with 50 RBIs, which earned him an invitation to play in the Summer South Florida Collegiate Baseball League (SFCBL). In 2019, Chris received the SFCBL Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Summer League with 6 home runs, while racking up 24 RBIs and maintaining a .327 batting average.
Chris has a passion and love for the game. Since he has finished playing, he has stayed involved coaching and teaching youth baseball. Chris loves any opportunity to help ballplayers improve their game and achieve their goals
